Directions
From Southeast (airport):
- From the airport, follow the signs for MN-55 west
- From MN-55 west merge onto MN-62 west (~4 miles)
- Merge onto I-35W north toward Minneapolis (~5 miles)
- Merge onto MN-65 north via the exit on the LEFT, and take the 5th Avenue South Exit
- From 5th Avenue South, turn LEFT onto South 7th Street
- Turn RIGHT onto 3rd Avenue South
- Turn LEFT onto 5th Street South (stay on left side of light rail tracks)
- Turn RIGHT onto Marquette Avenue (over light rail tracks) and immediately take a right into the 5th Street Parking Ramp
From North:
- Take I-94E into Minneapolis
- Take EXIT 230 toward 4th Street North
- Stay STRAIGHT to go onto 4th Street North. Continue to follow 4th Street for several blocks.
- Turn RIGHT onto 2nd Avenue South
- Turn RIGHT 5th Street South
- Turn RIGHT onto Marquette Avenue (over light rail tracks) and immediately take a right into the 5th Street Parking Ramp
From West:
- Take 394 east into Minneapolis, follow the "downtown" signs
- Take the 4th Street exit; follow 4th Street into downtown
- Turn SLIGHTLY RIGHT onto 4th Street North and continue for several blocks
- Turn RIGHT onto 2nd Avenue South
- Turn RIGHT onto 5th Street South
- Turn RIGHT onto Marquette Avenue (over light rail tracks) and immediately take a right into the 5th Street Parking Ramp
Parking
There are nearly 4,000 parking spaces within a two-block radius of the Fifth Street Towers.
Russell Herder will validate your parking in the two Fifth Street Towers ramps and in Downtown Auto Park.
Please remember to bring your ticket stub to The Insight Café.
100 South Fifth (underground):
- From Fifth Street, take a right onto Marquette Avenue
- Underground parking is the first ramp on your right
Downtown Auto Park: Located next to the building on Marquette Avenue
- From Fifth Street East, take a right onto Marquette Avenue
- Above-ground parking is the second ramp on your right
Public Transportation
The light rail route is directly in front of our building, and the Nicollet Mall stop is approximately one block from our office. It's just a short 20-minute ride from the airport to downtown Minneapolis. The map below shows the light rail route from the airport to Russell Herder.
Light rail fares from the airport are $2.25 during rush hours (Monday through Friday, 6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 6:30 p.m.) and $1.75 at other times. Tickets are sold at vending kiosks at the rail stations.
The Lindbergh Terminal light rail station entrance is located near the Transit Center, between the Blue and Red parking ramps. From the Lindbergh Terminal Tram Level (two floors below the Ticketing Lobby), take the automated Hub Tram toward the Transit Center. When you exit the tram, follow the signs to the light rail station, located 70 feet underground.
The Humphrey light rail station is located outside of the terminal building. A covered walkway connects the station, located at 34th Avenue and 72nd Street, to the Humphrey parking facility and the terminal building.
